Harper’s Bazaar España- Animals are chic
HBespañaJUNE2011
Harper's Bazaar España has been doing great ever since they launched just over a year ago. I'm really into their style of covers, which is not very overworked and quite chic.
I especially liked their September 2010 cover shot by Txema Yeste. It's also him who's captured the cover picture for the June issue (styled by Juan Cebrián?). The first thing thing I thought was how ridiculously black that horse is, and how beautiful. Then I remembered that Demi/giraffe moment from the American version of HB back in April 2010. I loved that editorial but the idea of big animal/small person seems to work a lot better for the Spanish publication. It's very late 70's heroine and there's something about it that reminds me of this famous Spanish TV show called 'Verano Azul' but in a very chic way. It also feel a lot more natural than Demi's because she looks slightly awkward in the crazy-high McQueen shoes, while Anna de Rijk looks relaxed. I honestly can't wait to see the rest of the ed inside.
