to be continued or to END?

When I first created this blog, I had a clear and only intention: to spread and analyse the world of fashion and provide you guys with the freshest stuff about everything related to it. However, some events occured during the last few months have exalted my personal human feelings and changed my view of Heaven and Earth. Some feelings that I never used to let influence me before. But somehow, they managed to take over me.
History has the annoying habit of repeating itself. It happens over and over again, no matter what we do or what we say we will do, it all happens one more time. And so, we are now living in a world where everyone seems to know where we stand as individuals. This, together with the fact that we're tought to respect each other's opinions, leads to a world completely teared apart. People appear to be united as a disgusting community named society; a group that is actually separated, but nobody realizes because the gear they make up keeps going on no matter what. And right there it is where we find ourselves right now, at the point where nothing really matters if our comfy and safe and "whole" life stays the same.
We have our "chosen ones" to thank for they have created this amazingly perfect and unpolluted environment we get to enjoy now. I will be eternally thankful. And no wonder you will be too. It's too bad that our grandpas and their predecessors won't have the pleasure to join us —those who SURVIVE it at least— in the exciting and ever-surprising but yet routine that "human" existance is. Urban safari is not a heading for fashion magazines anymore, but a perfectly descriptive term to name the everyday. While creativity, art and wonderful minds were worshiped not that long ago in the past, NOW is a moment where those already old-fashioned values are banned to the point of censorship. Art —in its various features— is no longer appreciated as it once was, but interpreted as the cause, and sometimes consequence, of world-wide EVIL. Female models cause anorexia; McDonald's provokes overweight; Dolce & Gabbana are to blame for genre violence; Armani promotes illegal sexual tourism; Playsation is responsible for a more violent world; computers for addiction; and the list continues binding different products to the illnesses of our time eventhough none of them are truly new and proper of today.
Now I just can't wait to find out who is responsible for the future massive deaths of unmotivated artists and gifted people whose hopes and dreams and ideals went through the toilet before the unbearable dry-and-grey landscape displayed on windows. Will there be a moment when the dark and somehow heavenly thought of guiltyness will make it stop? That —like most things— is now more than ever UNCERTAIN.
This is the moment to wonder if there's a God above "and all I ever learned from love was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you". Rufus Wainwright said it better, and before.

Try this out. I'm off.

(stylish) SEXUAL tourism?

Sometimes the solution to a problem turns out to be bigger than the problem itself.
This is not the first time that soVIPzone has talked about politically correct. In fact, this topic is —along with fashion— a major constant feature in this blog.
I almost die choking on my breakfast this morning. I was watching TV when I heard that the italian Government has been asked to retire certain Armani Junior commercials from the summer collection being accused of promoting —ready?— "sexual tourism". In other words, seing this pictures of little girls from different etnic groups provokes us to go and pay for illegal prostitutes in, let's say, India. It totally makes sense! After all, what is the first thing that comes to your mind when you see a six-year-old in a bikini?: foreign prostitutes, of course!
I wonder who can we be worrying about terrorism in the world or people being killed in pointless wars incited by our political leaders when fashion publicity is such a threat. It is true that most people don't even have a clue about anything related to culture and so, they can't have good judgement, but can't you see that the goal of all this bullshit rain is to keep our minds away from the actual important issues? This not only damages the image of one of the biggest emporios della moda in the world, but it is an INSULT to intelligence. And I won't even get into the racist side of the matter.
Journalism is lately the least realiable source of information. Politics has poisoned everything. One way or another it always ends up being disgusting politics, which eventually ends up being plain and corrupt money.

Isn't it SAD that the world that our "parents" are leaving for us is a system where only "green" matters? I'm off.
