SJP (hearts) HH

It hasn't been made very clear what Sarah Jessica Parker's role will exactly entail at Halston Heritage. Some sources are going as far as pointing at her as the new creative director for Halston's second brand while Vogue.com simply announced her as the brand's new face for next season. If she does end up carrying the title of creative director or advisor this will clearly be some type of disguised celebrity endorsement. And so far, so good. As of late, SJP has repeatedly been spotted carrying Halston's slouchy/sac/tote bag or whatever you'd like to call it. It does look great on her, no doubt, but are we supposed to believe she has bought (at least) three of them out of love? No.

On a lighter note, SJP does a pretty good job including it in her own version of what I call 'uptown boho chic'. I don't really question style at all, only her credibility as a creator. The bag comes in suede, canvas and leather and in any summer colour or seemingly bohemian print you'd like. I also think it has great potential to become some sort of understated it bag because it's a cool classic and it seems super practical and versatile.

What do you think of SJP and the bag? Would you get so many?
I'm off.

let the sunshine in

On Wednesday night I attended the opening of the musical Hair in London. I came intrigued and left excited, astonished and utterly inspired. It seems shocking how the hippies, a sociological movement that happened so many years ago can feel so current and still inspire fashion nowadays. The Broadway cast, which showed the reason why the show is still so popular, strolled around stage in the most fun combination of flared and patched-up denim, tasseled suede and tie-dye colours.

I left the show as happy as can be and waiting for the moment to get home and put together a collage like the above that, to be fair, doesn't so much justice to the theatrical experience. I encourage you to get yourself tickets for the show asap and, in the meantime, to enjoy the soundtrack. I will be surprised if you can stop singing "Let the sunshine in" for even a minute. I know my flatmate can't.
I'm off.
