For their latest cologne for men, 'Bleu de Chanel', the French house hired Martin Scorsese to shoot Gaspard Ulliel in a minute-long commercial that makes little sense, looks absolutely stunning and makes the cologne beyond desirable (and it does smell really good, I must say).
The photography in the advert is spotless. Everything from the scenery to Gaspard's and the girls' eyes is tinged with le bleu which makes you want to be "unexpected". Although how unexpected can you be if you have to plan to buy the fragrance and plan to wear it... In any case, it is a job well done and Chanel's c'est quoi ça? answer to the question what about recession?
PS. You might remember Gaspard's (memorable) face from 'Paris, je t'aime' and his numerous appearances at Chanel shows.

I'm off.

I love it!! It's amazing, though I am a bit surprised Karl didn't direct it. Usually he does everything.
