Eniko Mihalik covers the new Harper's Bazaar España
Harper'a Bazaar España
Harper's Bazaar España seems to always keep their best covers for June, which makes sense because that's when everyone breaks from school, goes and holiday. Summer arrives. A year ago I was in love with their Anna de Rijk standing on a horse cover. It was incredibly cool, relaxed, summery.
This time around the Harper's Bazaar team has gone for a lot raunchier cover featuring Eniko Mihalik in a tiny Paco Rabbane dress. If you remember the April cover of the mag you'll realise there is a (sexy) connection between the two and that connection is Bárbara Martello, who is not only a style icon herself but a genius at what she does. It's all about Eniko's long legs and her natural hair – just like Bárbara.
I am, of course, very keen on the layout too. From the very beginning of the magazine I've always really appreciated the fact that they try different things. They have done something similar to the latest Vogue Paris in terms of colours, which I see as the best way to have a summery sea scene on the cover.

You all know by now how much I love Harper's Bazaar España. I feel like I often say the same things about their latest covers but it's always true that they're the most creative fashion magazine in my home country.
Their April cover features Izabel Goulart (barely) in Emilio Pucci and shot by Nico for their 'Feria de Abril' issue. This is, perhaps, the most typically Spanish and folkloric event in the country's calendar and Harper's has taken a look at all the Spanish personalities who have been the most successful both in and out of fashion.
I certainly love how daring it is to barely dress a model on the cover of a fashion magazine but I love how classy the picture is. It definitely stays away from other female nakedness like the one Carine had us used to a few years back.

What do you think of the cover?

Kristen Stewart conjures up Bárbara MarteloKristenStewartBALMAIN
Never in a million years I would have said that Kristen Stewart would be the best dressed at an event. Last night, for the he MTV Movie Awards, she wore a stunningly rock'n'roll red Balmain mini dress detailed with studs and safety pins. As I have said before, she looks her best in super short numbers, which she pulls off easily, and effortless hair and makeup.

Looking closely at her styling you might think Bárbara Martelo styled her. She's known for wearing only Balmain and Isabel Marant. The key of her style lies in the fact that she wears this ostentatious statement pieces with her natural hair down and virtually no makeup. It was actually Martelo who wore the jacket version of Kristen's dress during Paris Fashion Week back in February. She was also spotted then in the black "Chiara" Christian Louboutin pumps that Kristen paired up with the dress for the red carpet.
This is probably just a big coincidence but what an incredibly great match would Martelo be as Stewart's stylist? I'd love it!

Spanish flair

It's quite funny how particular doses of Balmain and Isabel Marant can easily lead one to believe that a female who often walks the Tuileries in them is Vogue Paris staff. And that was exactly what I assumed about Bárbara Martelo until only a few weeks ago. The truth is this stunning brunette is a Spanish Voguette. I am yet to purchase the March issue (Anja on the cover, woop!) and see what work she's produced lately. But considering she can pull off the multi-coloured Marant fur coat, I am expecting excellence.
