Get the Look- Miranda Kerr loves Frame Denim

Get the Look: Miranda Kerr loves Frame Denim
JustJared
There isn't a single person in fashion who hasn't written, blogged, tweeted or somehow expressed their fascination for Miranda Kerr's personal style during the last few weeks. The Victoria Secret's angel has been rocking everything from edgy biker jackets and fashion forward skirts to relaxed double denim looks and comfy flats.
Just yesterday, the model took to the streets of New York in one of my favourite looks so far. She paired her signature nude pumps and grey Isabel Marant coat with a super chic pair of Frame Denim skinny jeans. Being the trend setter that she is, Miranda is one of the first to wear this new denim brand, which recently launched on Net-a-Porter and has quickly gained the favour of style references like Dree Hemingway, Anja Rubik or Lara Stone. You can buy Miranda's dark blue jeans here and have a look at the rest of Frame Denim's line here.
Kerr finished off her look with her favourite Miu Miu sunglasses and one of the embroidered Prada bags of the season.

What do you think of Miranda's look?

The British Fashion Awards 2012

The British Fashion Awards 2012

Last night Giulia and I attended the 2012 British Fashion Awards at the Savoy Theatre in London. We were beyond excited not only because it's the fashion event of the year in the UK but also because it was our first time at any sort of award ceremony – unless you count school?
Even tough we knew that not everyone in the industry would interpret the black tie instructions quite so literally we jump at any opportunity of dressing to the nines. Giulia in a stunning Galliano gown with lace and ruffle details and me in a more expected outfit spiced up with my favourite new Lanvin flower pin.

It was an amazing experience sitting in the theatre and having all these amazingly talented and accomplished people in front of us. Our hearts stopped a little when, to kick off the awards, Nick Grimshaw and Gemma Arterton announced that Valentino – Legend – Garavani would be giving the British Style Award, which went to Alexa Chung for the third year in a row. We loved that Manolo Blahnik won the Outstanding Achievement in Fashion introduced by a lovely video of Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, Angelica Houston and Naomi Campbell singing his praise. He received the award from Zaha Hadid, a favourite hero of mine!
Amber Valetta – we died again – gave Stella McCartney one of her two awards of the night: Designer Brand and Designer of the Year. They both look ridiculously beautiful last night. Less of a surprise was Cara Delevingne's award for Model of the Year. She literally rocked the stage with a shirt metallic number by Burberry, of course.
I was also thrilled to see J.W. Anderson win the Emerging Talent award for Ready-to-Wear. He is one of the most talented designers in London and a personal favourite. Jonathan Saunders, Roksanda Ilincic, Erdem and Nicholas Kirkwood all received awards for all their amazing work during this year. Kim Jones got the Menswear Designer award for his work at Louis Vuitton, another very well deserved one. One of the highlights of the night was the emotional moment of Louise Wilson, who won the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator for her years of work at Central Saint Martins, where he has taught many of the best British designers.

What she wore- Stephanie LaCava at LFW, day 1
SLCday1
Know Wear
If I told you that Stephanie LaCava took a plane from New York to Paris on Friday evening, then a Eurostar train from the French capital to London, and barely had any sleep or time to change you wouldn't believe me. She looked as fresh as she would have after a full night sleep and her outfit was exquisitely put together.

Stephanie –who until yesterday was a LFW virgin, can you believe it?– was wearing a custom made Zac Posen white tuxedo jacket with black lapels (it fit her like a glove!), a black short Alexander Wang dress, and an unbelievable pair of Manolos.
There was something very Audrey Hepburn about this look. Perhaps not literally but I feel like if she had lived this new era of fashion she would have, like Stephanie, embraced and edgy and chic kind of aesthetic.

*Stay tuned: More daily looks from SLC are coming your way and tomorrow Know Wear will be co-hosting the Burberry live stream!

The Return of the (really) Pointy Stiletto
SJPwhitestilettos
Style.com, Celebrity-Gossip.net
I don't know of many people who feel as badly about white shoes as I do except, perhaps, Ella from Coco's Tea Party, whose opinion about these I'd love to hear.

Sarah Jessica Parker –looking stunning once again in Prabal Gurung– slipped into a pair of white Manolo Blahnik stilettos for her appearance at David Letterman and at Fashion's Night Out. Even though they're beautifully done I can't help but remember that time some 6 or 8 years ago when pointy white and silver heels were everywhere worn with flared trousers.
Coinciding with SJP's choice, Jenni Kayne opened New York Fashion Week with a really chic and simple collection which included pointy silver stilettos opened at the back. This made me question whether this is going to become a trend for SS12 and whether we should fear it if it is.
I truly believe that not many things are intrinsically ugly and it's who wears them and how that makes a garment or accessory special.

What are your thoughts? Would you/ have you ever worn shoes like these?
