Introducing: MSGM Spring/Summer 2012

I always get very excited when I discover new designers or brands and I can tell they're going to be 'a thing'. I first came to know MSGM a few weeks back when Viviana Volpicella slipped into a total look for Milan Fashion Week.

Their spring collection, which you can check out fully here, is simply perfect. There is a clear Italian vibe to all the garments but there are also quirky touches of Americana that really suit this season. There are a lot of vibrant colours and bold prints that often come together but the shapes and cuts are quite simple. some of my favourites are the floral skirt and the fringed denim shirt.

I recently came across Ana Locking. In her SS10 collection showcased at Madrid Fashion Week, the Spanish designer created a cocktail of old school glamour and current coolness. All of the pieces bubble over with sophistication but the type that only Leighton Meester, Diane Kruger or Leigh Lezark are capable of.

I would like to start this post by introducing soVIPzone's new collaborator since it is thanks to her that I came to know about the subject of this post. Her name is Giulia and she will be injecting soVIPzone with a more feminine and Italian point of view (click here to see her picture at Paris Fashion Week on the Marie Claire website). We are very excited to be working together because we share our love for fashion and our taste but we keep teaching each other new things. Jewellery and things of the like that I try yet fail to fully grasp will be her main matters of focus.

Now let me introduce you to Miu Miu's SS10 resort line of bags. Giulia was bursting with excitement when she brought her post back from Italy and found these beautiful jewelled bags. Our favourite is the flower-printed one that will also be available in green and yellow tones.
