I didn't realise what a fantastic colour maroon was until I found myself wandering around the China and Japan sections of the V&A museum. It has been the colour choice in Asian furniture and ornaments for centuries. And so, my current obsession consists of all-black ensembles with a flash of what I like to call "wine".
