Ever Manifesto launches its new issue- Ever Bamboo
EverBamboo
Ever Manifesto, Gucci
It's been two years since the debut issue of Ever Manifesto –a free publication focusing on sustainable high fashion- was launched by founders Elizabeth von Guttman, Charlotte Casiraghi and Alexia Niedzielski.
Last week the trio celebrated the launch of issue two –Ever Bamboo– published in partnership with Gucci and guest edited by Stefano Tonchi.

Ever Bamboo picks on Bamboo, a versatile and sustainable material, and tells "stories of people who have supported the use of bamboo through fashion, culture, architecture, design, gardens, art, and food".
Alongside the publication, the founders of Ever Manifesto collaborated with Gucci in a sustainable fashion competition where young students has to design a bag inspired in the signature Gucci bamboo bag using low enviromental-impact materials. The "Ever Manifesto Bamboo Bag", by winning IFM student Laura Popoviciu, has been produced by Gucci and is now sold in a limited edition worldwide.
You can read and download both issues of the Ever Manifesto here.

Charlotte Casiraghi covers Vogue Paris’ September Issue
VogueParisSept11
Models.com
As I was buying some magazines at Madrid airport this afternoon I realised I had most likely missed the release of all the important September issue covers, which is pretty bad timing. After an unexpected but not unwelcome Internet-less week in Cape Verde I have lots to catch up with.

Before tomorrow's round-up of my favourites I thought September's Vogue Paris deserved special mention. Charlotte Casiraghi shot by Mario Testino covers the issue with messy hair and a smoky eye. I really love this because it was pretty unexpected. Vogue Paris is one of the few really big publications that still uses models on its cover for the most part of the year. Which is why some people have criticised the choice. But I disagree, évidemment. If there was ever a time for something different that is September. Not to mention this is Emmanuelle's first and she had to make an impact.
The editorial inside is extensive to say the least. Charlotte wears in her famous effortless way over a dozen pieces from the FW11 collections. I also loved the fact that she was shot in a number of locations, it must have taken forever to shoot.

Mystery Resolved- It was Giamba
CharlotteGiambaCouture

Yesterday, on my post for Harper's Bazaar España, I wondered who had designed the dress that Charlotte Casiraghi wore to his uncle's wedding reception.
I then toyed with the idea that it might be Valentino because I highly doubted it was Chanel at all. But now the mystery is resolved.

Gaimbattista Valli unveiled his first ever Haute Couture collection only a few minutes ago in Paris and Charlotte's dress was one of the last ones to walk the runway. Both dresses are absolutely identical and they both include the cape I'm so keen on. The only difference is Charlotte's belt, my favourite part of her accessories, which was borrowed from a different look from the collection. The red number from the catwalk show actually finds inspiration from an unexpected place: the traditional attire worn by the cardinals of the Catholic church. The designer did a sexy take on this robe and even included the traditional skullhat.

amfAR Gala 2011- highlight or let down
amfAR2011
Cannes finally wrapped up yesterday with the annual amfAR event. Last year the Cinema against AIDS gala saw the most stylish attendees of the festival. This year, though, film stars really raised the bar and made it really difficult, even for fashion insiders, to outside them on the last day.
Carine swapped Tom Ford for Kanye West, quite a downgrade if you ask me. They both wore Givenchy but failed to steal the show. Kanye very much annoys me at this point and I'm disappointed at Carine for not finding a better date.
My favourite was Janet Jackson's choice of Haider Ackermann as genius beyond words. The shape suits her wonderfully, as do the colours and she looks a lot classier and more stylish than she normally does. Jane Fonda was the epitome of elegance at Cannes. She is possibly one of four women in the world who can look so exquisite in Roberto Cavalli. There's little need for more than the understated emerald earrings thanks to the leopard sequins.
Some other of my favourites were Clémence Poésy in Chanel, Anja Rubik in Pucci, Charlotte Casiraghi (who just looks incredible in anything) and Giovanna Battaglia in a rather daring number.
It was also nice to see Julia Restoin Roitfeld wearing a long gown (also by Pucci) and I have to admit I am even
a fan of Elisabetta Canalis' Cavalli
dress, it's super flashy but it somehow
works.
