Cheryl Cole loves leopard print: Here's some other pieces she should wear
JustJared
Cheryl Cole isn't necessarily a celebrity you would go to for inspiration trying to get dressed in the morning. She also doesn't seem to be trying too hard to get away from her (ex)WAG status or style, which can sometimes be kind of interesting(?).
This past week she has made some good choices while visiting the city of light – apart, perhaps, from the Phillip Lim jumpsuit look that she ruined with a pair of trainers. She seems to be totally into leopard print at the moment, which can be tricky to work with. However, I loved her in the A.P.C. sweatshirt. It gave a casual touch to the look paired with jeans and nude stilettos. but my favourite has got to be the Ksubi dress, which actually looks great with the Charlotte Olympia heels, very slick and contemporary.
And so I decided to find out what the offer of leopard print was for this summer and chose my favourite pieces, some of which would actually look great together such if combined with neutral and nude colours.

Are you a fan of leopard print? What do you think of Cheryl's looks?

The Telegraph says big hair is "back with a vengeance". Apparently it's all Elle McPherson's fault because she wore this absolutely mental hairdo to take her son to school last week.
I hate to break it down to the world but Elle's look was stupid to say the least. The fact is she can just about get away with it because she's beautiful and slim and the length of her legs distracts you from the mantronly curls. Unfortunately, the trend seems to have picked up and in no more than 24 hours Cheryl Cole (who is doing the X-Factor in the States) and Sarah Jessica Parker have given it a go and failed miserably.
I might be overreacting but I feel like if enough of us join efforts in criticising this horrendous look someone with power will take notice and they will prevent this from happening again.

What do you make of this?

Cheryl needs (professional) help

CherylXfactorEarsOne of my favourite things about watching the X Factor is simultaneously following what people have to say about it on Twitter. It never ceases to amaze me how Hilary Alexander can tweet herself silly both about Strictly and the X Factor. She is usually the one I agree with the most. But literally everyone living in the UK takes on their Blackberrys, iPhones and laptops and doesn't stop tweeting until the end of the show, which made last night's show that much funnier. Cheryl Cole decided to innovate (yet again) in the hair department with a gigantic double bun I never thought I'd see outside the streets of Tokyo. And this is what people had to say.
I have to say the Futurama reference was not only stop-on but rather genius. Who'd say the people from Grazia would think so out of the box. Haha. And, if I may say so myself, so is the Sailor Moon comparison. I don't know if many of you know her but the manga TV show used to be on in Spain for the most part of my childhood.
If you want to have some fun on Saturday and Sunday nights make sure you follow @HilaryAlexander, @sarahlyndsay and @JackDMurphy (no one does witty #xfactor tweets like these last two!).
I'm off.

You're either in or you're out

CherylinVOSOVICAs a foreigner who has lived in the UK for a while and made a big effort to be absorbed by British culture one of the first things I had to do was religiously sit in front of the tv every Saturday night to watch the X Factor. But not only watch, I had to show great genuine enthusiasm or anger for the my favourite contestants. Honestly speaking, it didn't take long until I was a convert. And now I can't live without it. The year after I lost my X Factor virginity the panel of judges welcomed Cheryl Cole, whom I had never looked at twice. And it was then that our (or my) love story started. I am irresistibly attracted to her face and her accent. Little did I know she'd try and become the fashion-statement maker of the show. I admit she is yet to master such an art. In fact, she provided fashion catastrophes such as that signed by David Koma. This time, though, she seems to be toning it down, playing it safer. But I can smell something good coming up.
I can't complain so far. For the first live show of the season she donned a dress by one of my favourite young designers —Daniel Vosovic. I didn't expect this choice at all. In fact, I originally though the dress was by Antonio Berardi. Vosovic was one of the finalists of Project Runway season 2 and one of my favourite contestants as of yet. He showed such class and taste and his dress-amking skills were rather sharp for someone so fresh off FIT. I had lost track of him for a couple of seasons but he came back on my radar after he showed his SS11 collection in the last edition of NYFW.
The collection mainly focused on utilitarian chic, taking elements from menswear and working garments and very feminine and fragile fabrics and having them worn by a tough woman. It almost seemed as if the collection was intended as a high-fashion option for camping attire —as if you took Unique's FW10 runway and brought it to Central Park. Vosovic also played with digital prints, something he had never done before, on velvet panels which draped over gauze and mesh to form dresses. I can't understand why more attention hasn't been given to him, I am certainly watching.
